The short version: the app has no account, no telemetry and no analytics. Your cues, library and settings never leave your computer. It talks to the internet in exactly two situations - activating a license key, and (optionally) checking whether a newer version exists - and both are described below, in full.

The app

DJ Waveforms runs entirely on your machine. Its server binds to 127.0.0.1 and is never reachable from the network. Everything it knows about you - hot cues, library edits, waveform styles, MIDI maps, window layout - is stored in a local data folder on your computer (the locations are listed in the manual). None of it is transmitted anywhere.

The two network calls the app makes

License activation and validation. When you enter a license key, the app contacts the Lemon Squeezy License API (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to activate it. This sends your license key and a machine label derived from your computer's name - used only to count activations (a license covers 3 computers). After activation the license is cached locally and the app works fully offline; occasional re-validation happens only when you are online and never blocks the app.
Update check. With "Check for updates" on (the default, and you can turn it off in Settings), the app fetches a small static version file from our domain about once a day to see if a newer release exists. This is an ordinary web request; it carries no personal data, no identifiers, and nothing about your usage.

That is the complete list. There is no crash reporting, no usage analytics, and no "phone home" beyond the two calls above.

Diagnostics

The app keeps a local diagnostics log to help debug connection issues. It stays on your machine unless you choose to copy or save a report yourself - and reports are anonymized before export (account names, file paths and hostnames are stripped). You decide if and where to send one.

Purchases

Sales are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They process your payment details (we never see your card) and handle VAT and sales tax. From a purchase we receive your name, email address, order details and license key - used to deliver the product, provide support, and handle refunds, and for nothing else. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy applies to the checkout.

This website

This site is static. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, time) for security and capacity purposes, and they are rotated routinely.

Email

If you email support, the correspondence is used to help you and kept for reference. It is never sold, shared, or added to a mailing list. There is no newsletter unless you explicitly ask to be told about updates.

Your data, your call

Want your support correspondence deleted, or a question about what exists about you? One email is enough: support@djwaveforms.com. Order records at Lemon Squeezy are retained as required for tax and accounting law.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be called out in the release notes of the version they ship with.
